Phalair

PhalaiR, born, Phalair Carter is a rapper, poet and producer from the South Side of Chicago who was crafted to perform.

His father, NOTRYDO SINCERE, grew up like PhalaiR, in the
South Side of Chicago, making music. Throughout NOTRYDO’s career he would help shape the sound of classic Chicago rap, although, at the time of PhalaiR's birth he would put his career on the back burner.

PhalaiR grew up with his father teaching him how to rap and how important the culture is and this gave PhalaiR the inclination to carry on the career his father stopped. Throughout high school, Phalair began writing poems, hosting and performing at shows and releasing music.

In the meantime, PhalaiR’s community leading tendencies made their debut when he started the program Beats and Bars. It began as a club for school students to learn about poetry, production and performance. PhalaiR was able to raise $3,000 to get recording equipment in his high school and provided a hub for the creative students at his highschool.

At 18, PhalaiR decided to attend the art school, Full Sail University and maiored in Music Business to learn more about the administrative side of the industry before attending SAE to complete studies in audio engineering.

While in school, PhalaiR would begin crafting his second album “WHY” - a project all about remaining authentic and rejecting materialism. This project signifies a major turning point in Phalair’s development as he find his voice and leads with love. This new era of music for Phalair also revamped his youth community program “Beats and Bars” in order to combat adolescent loneliness and mental health.

creep away

On “Creep Away” he attacks the chopped sample and brings the gnarly energy his audience knows and loves. This track is
confident, clever and is a call out to the majority of rappers that are considered his peers. He stunts his talent and work ethic while repping his hometown of Chicago. This is a must listen song if you’re wanting to find out who Phalair is. In his words, “This song emulates how it feels to see me live. With the passion, delivery and personality that I bring on stage”
